Meet Our Pastor

Rev. Jake Herron and his wife, Laura, grew up in Athens, Tennessee. They first met on a mission trip in a youth group and are now both graduates from ETSU. Jake then graduated from Asbury Theological Seminary, where missions and the passion of the circuit rider for the people were deeply imbedded upon him. Jake believes the United Methodist Church is ripe for making disciples throughout world, and the local church is the outlet through which this will truly be accomplished. Jake also has a deep passion for Virginia Tech and ETSU sports. Jake believes the local church has an amazing opportunity to impact everyone in the community with the love of Jesus Christ through the work of the Holy Spirit. As we build our fellowship together, let us look to God, the sustainer and provider of all, for the answers to all of our prayers.
