November 2008:
The "Smoky Mountain Christmas" series is being brought back to Eden this Christmas season! Make sure to stay tuned for info. about performances.
October 2008 News:
At the church-wide garage sale, $1300 was raised for the general building fund. The youth also raised $240 to go toward their Summer '09 Mission trip.
August 2008 News:
59 people, including several new members joined in fellowship at Willow Springs Park to honor our new members and families August 31.
The second youth pizza fundraiser was very successful! $200.00 was raised to support their summer 2009 mission trip.
July 2008 News:
The 4th Annual Youth Homeless Mission was very successful. Just from the offering taken up during our youth-led "Famine Sunday" service $482.10 was taken up. The final amount of money collected for World Vision between the offering and youth donations was $1186.10.
VBS had great attendance! Each night we averaged about 30 kids, and about 20 youth/adult volunteers. Thank you to Lori, and everyone who helped make it such a great success!
On July 13 we had a record number of Sunday School attendees! Let's keep the number growing!
June 2008 News:
Welcome Pastor Ed Nelson and his wife Judy!
The Father's Day Memoriam and Honorarium donations were very successful, there was enough money collected to completely pay off the projector system!
The projector system has arrived and been installed. A projector for each side of the sanctuary, along with electronic screens have been purchased and are working to enhance all of our church services.
May 2008 News:
We would like to extend a huge welcome to Ms. Sue Ellen Turner who became a member of our home congregation!
The youth-sponsored pizza fundraiser, which was to kick-off their year long fundraising drive to support their summer 2009 mission trip, was very successful! The final profit was $245. They would like to thank everyone who helped support this!
April 2008 News:
The Eden church council voted to use the gifts from Mother's Day and Father's Day to go toward a new projector system in the sanctuary. This will be a great tool that we can use to enhance our worship experience!
Over $800 was raised at the "Italian Mission Meal" on April 13. This was sponsored by the missions committee to support Richard Rambo on his trip to the Czech Republic in June.
Gifts were given in memory of Gary Carmichel by: Ruth Bennett, Mr. & Mrs. Carol Huffine, Mr. & Mrs. Ed MacLucas, Mr. & Mrs. Bud Rambo, Mrs. Betty Range, and Mr. & Mrs. Randell Walter.
April 2, Houston Nichols will be leaving for Japan. He will be stationed there for 2 years with the US Marine Corps.

A gift was given in memory of Euell Little's sister by The Eden Fellowship Class.

Susan B. and Remy K. were awarded with the Yearly "Youth Back-Bone" Award. This was awarded to them for their hard work and dedication to the youth group during the year 2007. It was voted on by the youth members and adult leaders.
Feb. 2008 News:
We just recently had our vision meeting (Feb. 16), and many new things are in the works. Currently an active men's fellowship, youth group mission trip to the Carolina Coast, widening our mission teams and mission work, and working on several more outreach programs are all in the works! MORE INFO. SOON!
Jan. 2008 News:
Jan. 18-20, 33 youth and adults attended Resurrection '08: The Radical Way, and there were several rededications and committments. A couple of youth also experienced calls to ministry.
